The Gator Wesley Podcast returns for Summer! We recap the Gator Wesley Tour, talk about the summer schedule, and we have a sermon double feature, including David’s final Spring sermon and the sermon delivered at the beginning of Summer at the Gator Wesley Center.
Summer Baseball: Rays vs. Braves, Friday!
Some Gator Wesley folks will be taking a trip to see the Tampa Bay Rays play the Atlanta Braves in Tampa/St. Petersburg on Friday. Car pooling will be arranged, and tickets will cost around $25. We will officially meet at the Tampa Bay Rays stadium box office (in St. Pete) at 6:30pm to buy tickets so we can all sit together. If you are interested in going, please email dan@gatorwesley.com for more details and so that we know to expect you.
Summer Bible Study begin Wednesday at 7pm
We will begin our Summer A Bible Study on Wednesday at 7pm in the college room. We will be using a book on “banned questions” to have discussion about thought provoking questions and issues within Scripture. See you there!
Gator Wesley Open for Summer A
The Gator Wesley Center will be open for Summer A. Our weekly activities include Bible Study on Wednesdays at 7pm in the college room, Worship on Sundays at 11am, and fellowship events on select nights (see the calendar for details). The Center will also be open on weekdays. Specific hours will be set later this week. In the morning and early afternoon, please enter through the office door on the west side of the building.

Summer Mission Intern Applications Now Being Accepted
Applications for the Florida Conference’s 2012 Summer Mission Intern program are now being accepted. Summer Mission Interns serve in a variety of outreach ministry settings throughout Florida, with a focus being on church-based community day camps and United Methodist district outreach agencies. A $2,000 stipend is awarded to each intern for their 10 weeks of service which runs generally from June 1 through Aug. 10 (this varies with the placement). Internship applications are accepted from students and young adults, ages 19 through 28. If you would like more details, head over to our Internships and Opportunities page.
Welcoming Rev. Narcie Jeter as the next Gator Wesley Pastor/Director
We are pleased to announce Rev. Narcie Jeter as the next Pastor/Director of the Gator Wesley Foundation. Narcie is an ordained Elder in the South Carolina Conference and has been the Wesley Foundation Director at Winthrop University for the past six years. She brings a wealth of experience in campus ministry and a wonderful track record as a leader in The United Methodist Church both in South Carolina and beyond. She has a BA in English from Winthrop and a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. She is married to Mike Jeter and they have two children, Enoch and Evy.

Summer A Schedule: May 13-June 24
The Gator Wesley Center will be open from 10am-midnight on Monday-Thursday, 4pm-midnight on Fridays, as well as on Sunday afternoons from 2pm-5pm. It is a great place to both hang out and study (FREE wireless internet!). On weekdays before 4pm, please enter through the office door on the west side of the building.
Our regular weekly Sumer A activities are as follows:
Sunday- Modern Worship, 11am
Wednesday- Praise Band practice, 5:30pm (email dan@gatorwesley.com for details)
Bible Study, 7pm
Friday- Wesley Nights fellowship activities on select Fridays, See the full calendar for details.

Weekly Opportunities: Prayers and Lunch
A prayer group is forming that will meet each week on Thursday night at 10:30pm. This is an informal group, so come when you can. On Tuesdays and Fridays, there is a group of students who will be eating lunch together around 11:45am. Bring your lunch or pick up something there, and enjoy some community! On Tuesdays they will be at the Reitz Union Foodcourt, and on Friday they will be at the HUB.

This semester, we have a few students who live further away from campus and need rides to church.
